Meet Your Reiki Master Teacher

Prakash Nam Kaur is a natural born intuitive that has been working with the healing arts since the age of 14. She discovered Reiki during the summer of 2011 and was immediately attracted to its warmth, radiance, and powerful healing effects. She completed her first Reiki Mastery course in February 2012 and immediately started assisting Reiki trainings, teaching, and sharing Reiki with others in her private practice, formerly Healing With Jenn, now called Cosmic Shanti.

Prakash Nam decided to deepen her understanding of Reiki and acquired additional Reiki Mastery certifications in the Usui Reiki Ryoho, Usui Tibetan, and Karuna Reiki ® systems. In the fall of 2016 she established Cosmic Shanti, which is her own Reiki and Yoga private practice and school dedicated to energy certification courses in Reiki and other divinatory practices.

Prakash Nam teaches Reiki because she is passionate about transforming the world and empowering her students in a karmic and compassionate way. She strives to help her students gain confidence yet maintaining a sense of peace and tranquility throughout the learning process. Prakash Nam shares her experience and knowledge with her clients and students, empowering them to improve their lives and those of others. She has graduated Reiki Master students who are thriving with Reiki and successfully teaching their own Reiki courses.

Prakash Nam is also an experienced 500-hour registered Practitioner of Kundalini, Yin, and Hatha yoga teacher (E-RYT 500®, YACEP®) with the Yoga Alliance and International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association. She has also completed Phase 1 of the Gong Avatar Academy, which sparked her love and integration of sound healing in her practice. In her spare time she provides service work in her community and throughout the world.

Reiki 1 Shoden “The Beginner’s Teachings”

(Prerequisites:  None)

Reiki 1 covers “the Beginner’s Teachings” and is the journey of healing the self.  Throughout the day participants will receive sacred reiju (ceremonial attunements) in the traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho and Usui Tibetan systems.  Reiju activates and turns on the Reiki energy in the hands and throughout the body, attuning one to the frequency of the sacred energy and enabling the practitioner to guide and direct Reiki for the self and others.

Anyone can learn Reiki!  It is an amazing tool for those interested in healing, lightwork, or personal transformation.  All can benefit from becoming a Reiki practitioner - doctors, lawyers, artists, yoga teachers, nurses, massage therapists, comedians.... everybody!

Students will learn:

  • What Reiki is and its benefits
  • The origins of Reiki
  • Traditional routines that heighten the Reiki energy
  • The subtle body in the Usui method and the Western customs
  • How to do Reiki and establish a self-practice
  • Other Reiki related concepts

Reiki 1 Shoden marks the beginning of the Reiki journey.  It will be a day of self-love, healing, awareness, and personal transformation.  A Reiki gong immersion will be given to heighten the sacred energy.  

Participants will receive a Reiki 1 Shoden certification and an easy to follow manual.


Reiki 2 Okuden “The Hidden/Inner Teachings”

(Prerequisites:  Reiki 1 Shoden, students from other schools welcome)

In Reiki 2 Okuden we will further explore Reiki and the “Hidden” or “Inner Teachings.”  Throughout the day participants will receive Reiki 2 Okuden reiju (sacred ceremonial attunements) in the Usui Reiki Ryoho and Usui Tibetan systems.  Reiki 2 Okuden reiju heightens and expands the Reiki energy in the hands and body.

Students will learn:


  • How to draw and connect with three Reiki symbols and mantras for physical, mental/emotional, and distance healings
  • How to share Reiki with others
  • How to conduct distance healing (enveloping Reiki through distance, time, and space)
  • How to start a professional Reiki practice
  • Other Reiki related concepts


Reiki 2 Okuden will be a full day of sharing Reiki with others and expanding upon personal awareness and transformation.  A Reiki gong immersion will be given to heighten the energy.  

Participants will receive a Reiki 2 Okuden certification and an easy to follow manual.

Advanced Reiki Training (ART)

(Prerequisites:  Reiki 1 Shoden and Reiki 2 Okuden with 6 months of experience since completion of Reiki 2 Okuden.  Students from other schools are welcomed)

In Advanced Reiki Training (ART) seasoned practitioners will learn about advanced Reiki concepts to strengthen and heighten their practice.  Advanced Reiki reiju (sacred ceremonial attunement) will be performed in the Usui Tibetan system.  This will expand and heighten the Reiki energy in the hands and throughout the body.


Students will learn:


  • The Usui Master Symbol which heightens and strengthens the effectiveness of the Reiki 2 Okuden symbols
  • A Reiki meditation of chanting and toning called the Kotodama which means “words carrying spirit”
  • Advanced techniques for using Reiki to solve problems and achieve goals
  • Using Reiki to protect yourself and others
  • The use of crystals and stones with Reiki
  • How to create a Reiki grid that will continue to send Reiki to yourself and others
  • Reiki Aura Clearing that allows you to remove negative psychic energy from yourself and others


Advanced Reiki Training (ART) will be a full day of expanding and heightening Reiki for the self and others.  ART will be the stepping stone to prepare practitioners for Reiki Mastery Shinpiden.  Participants will experience a guided meditation that introduces one to their Reiki guides wherein you receive healing and information.  A Reiki gong immersion will be given to heighten the energy.  At the end of class participants will receive an Advanced Reiki certification.  An easy to follow manual is included.

Reiki Mastery Shinpiden “Mystical Teachings”

(Prerequisites:  Reiki 1 Shoden, Reiki 2 Okuden, and ART.  Students from other schools are welcomed with completion of ART before Mastery, Shinpiden)

Shinpiden is the Mastery level of Reiki teachings when one is ready to become a “Reiki Master”.  In this final phase of the Reiki journey the practitioner will become a Shihan, which means Reiki Master or Reiki Master Teacher.

Students will learn:


  • Mastery in two Reiki lineages - Usui Reiki Ryoho and Usui Tibetan
  • The remaining Reiki Mastery symbols and mantras in the Usui Tibetan system
  • How to conduct reiju, ceremonial attunements, for healing others
  • How to perform reiju, ceremonial attunements, for all degrees of Reiki for oneself and others
  • Practice time with performing reiju, ceremonial attunements
  • How to teach all levels of Reiki courses


Reiki Mastery Shinpiden will be full days of learning and practicing attunements, teaching Reiki, and passing the light onto others.  It is preparing to share Reiki with the world!  By the end of the course, participants will receive a Reiki Mastery Shinpiden certification.  An easy-to-follow manual is included.

This is a two day course and students, upon completion, will become Reiki Masters in both the Tibetan and Usui Reiki Ryoho systems.
